Do you work with AI voices?
No. Our voices always come from real people. Every audiobook is recorded by professional voice actors, because that is exactly what makes the difference you can hear. We do use technology, but in the background: our in-house tools speed up the technical steps of production, never the storytelling itself.
How long does audiobook production take?
We work with fast and efficient production processes. The exact production time depends primarily on the length of the manuscript and the availability of the selected narrator.
As a general guideline, an audiobook can usually be completed within around six weeks. Shorter turnaround times may also be possible depending on the project.
How much does audiobook production cost?
Thanks to our many years of expertise, the use of in-house digital post-production infrastructure and a large throughput of audio book productions per year at our company, we are able to realize a high-quality product at quite a reasonable price.
Costs vary depending on the number of words (even better characters incl. spaces) as well as selection and number of voices. All prices are based on final playing time and include casting, script check, quality control and post-production/mastering.
If we have the opportunity to get an overview of the project/script, we can best advise how we could support and put together a proposal.
In which languages do you produce audiobooks?
German is our main production language, but we also regularly produce audiobooks in English, French, Italian, Turkish, and other languages. Our voice pool includes professional narrators across a wide range of languages, regional accents, and dialects.
If you are looking for a specific language, accent, or dialect that is not listed, just get in touch. We can also research and source suitable native-speaking narrators specifically for your project.
Can you distribute audiobooks that were produced by another studio?
As a rule, we offer our digital distribution service primarily for productions completed through our own studios, as we can provide it to our production clients at almost no additional cost.
External productions involve significantly more administrative work, so we generally cannot offer the same service for them. Exceptions may be possible by arrangement or under different commercial terms.
Can I distribute my audiobook independently?
Of course. Distribution through us is an optional service we offer to our production clients at very low additional cost.
There is no obligation to use our distribution channels, and you are free to distribute the production elsewhere. If preferred, we can also put you directly in touch with our distribution partners.
